Southwest Wanderlust

I’m so grateful that this year I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to indulge my wanderlust. After a spinal injury kept me grounded for a few years, it feels great to be able to travel, visit new places, plan exciting adventures, and see the world as my oyster once more.

One of my 2014 resolutions was to make sure that I got out San Francisco and saw some great new sites this year. So far in 2014 I’ve made it to New York a few times, New Orleans, Los Angeles twice, and had a fabulous week in London.

In the remaining weeks of 2014 I’ve got three trips planned and some fun weekends away, including San Diego and a last-minute trip to Maui.

This weekend however I’m heading to visit family for a birthday weekend in the Southwest filled with hiking, natural hot springs, massages, and great food. And when I say great food – I mean green chilies. They’re unparalleled.

  1. Gorgeous! I’ve never been around the Southwest. In fact, during two years on the West Coast, most of my exploring has been in Northern California. Good news is that I’m going to San Diego for the first time over Thanksgiving and look forward to exploring Southern California. Here’s to wanderlusting! 🙂
