May Resolutions & June Goals

It’s pretty hard to believe – But welcome to June my darlings!

Summer has arrived – The season of lounging by the pool, weekends at the lake, sun dresses, blonde highlights, road trips, and sun-kissed skin.

Kindle Unlimited and Audible have replaced the books and audiotapes on my apartment’s book shelves, and I’ve been using StyleLend and Rent the Runway to curb my shopping habit. I may not be 100% all of the time, but I genuinely think about my purchases before making them, which is much better than I used to be.

I think being conscious about my habits is the key – Thinking before buying!

Be Grateful:

One of the frequent themes in my Gratitude Journal this month was being grateful for my body. I had some rough patches health-wise and it reminded me just how much I rely on my body and how strong and capable it has been over the years. I definitely hit snags – Is there anything worse than a toothache? – But those little roadblocks only seem to reiterate just how great things are going the rest of the time.

Just the reminder I need to be grateful for what I have!

Give Back:

I love getting to support California and Bay Area-based organizations, it reinforces how much I love my home to be able to see all the good that people are doing. And this month I was able to support a new-to-me program called The Movemeant Foundation.

Started by a badass SoulCycle instructor & fitness lover Jenny Gaither, the organization works to promote self-confidence and self-expression in young women and men using health and fitness as a means to empower and inspire. I was thrilled to join their fitness festival here in San Francisco last weekend – Dare to Bare – And support their formative work.

What are YOU most looking forward to this Summer? Do you have a June bucket list?
