Thankful Thursday: Self Love

One of my August goals {Check out the 30 Day Challenge post for more!} is to be better about my gratitude diary. So I thought, why not dedicate a Thankful Thursday post, or two, to talking about that journey this month?

There are a few recurring themes that I see when I’m flipping through my gratitude journal – Self love and living in the moment being two of the most prominent.

With the first – Self Love – It can be a struggle every day to remind yourself just how amazing you are and everything that you have to offer the world.

I also feel like it’s so easy to get bogged down in what you don’t have or what you think you want – Kind of the “grass is always greener” mentality – So I like to remind myself to enjoy this moment. Right now.

You never get this moment again, so why not lose yourself in it?

  • I am grateful for my strong body – I mean let’s be real, this body has bounced back from so much over the years. Injuries, surgeries, chronic pain… But it always comes back. And it comes back stronger and better. I’m stronger and healthier at 33 than I was at 23 – And that’s definitely worth celebrating.
  • I am grateful for my resilience – I never stop pushing forward. Whether that means overcoming obstacles in daily life, staying positive at the office, or being consistent and ambitious in the gym.
  • I am grateful for my passion – Being able to enjoy the little things and not be totally focused on the future and what’s coming next has been a process, but I’m getting better at it every day!
  • I am grateful for my love of laughter – I love laughing. I love being able to make other people laugh {however unintentional sometimes…} I love cracking myself up. I mean, is there anything better than a great big belly laugh? Best way to burn calories in my book!
