I love a night in for a little beauty pampering – Giving my hair, skin, and even nails some much-deserved TLC.
I’m actually not sure if my love of pampering rituals came from my long-term obsession with masks, or if the masks came first. As with the chicken and egg, we may never know…
Here are a few of my all time favorites, which are just part of the reason I’m on my second year running of Sephora VIB Rouge status…
Eyes:
Murad Eye Lift Treatment – I read about this one in a magazine and immediately went onto the Sephora website to buy it. Wasn’t disappointed.
Once I’ve cleansed I’ll dap on a rich eye cream for the night. I’m currently on a bit of an Origins eye kick – Going back and forth between Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Eye Treatment and the Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream. The latter is my go-to when I’m traveling to help save the delicate skin under my eyes!
Face:
First I do a deep exfoliation with either the Korres Wild Rose Daily Brightening & Refinishing Buff Cleanser {my trip to Greece last year re-ignited my love affaire with Korres!} or Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub.
So good.
Then I apply a super lux face mask. Which is my favorite part of my beauty pampering evenings!! A few of my current favorites are:
- Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask {They should add a warning label to the jar though that says people will laugh and try to take pictures of you. Every. Time.}
- First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Bouncy Mask {As much as I love my bright green or black face masks, this is a great clear one that’s perfect for when I’m not trying to scare the boyfriend}
- WEI Mung Bean Sprout Stress-Relieving Soothing Mask {When I was recently looking for a new mask to try I did what I always do, read reviews and use the sorting function on the Sephora website. Everyone was raving about this one and I must say, I totally agree. I’m down to my last one!}
Afterwards I lather on an intensive moisture like Josie Maran Pure Argan Intensive Hydrating Treatment. Or sometimes I’ll wear an overnight mask like Peter Thomas Roth Vitamin C Brightening Sleeping Mask. I just put a hand towel over my pillow to avoid getting product on it!
Hair:
Since I’m only washing my hair 1-2x a week these days – Because my hair stylist is the boss of me – I like to do a deep conditioning mask on cleaning day. I love the Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisturizing Treatment. A bonus of that one is that you can find it at your local drug store or Target!

Once my hair is clean, I apply an oil-based product to the roots. I adore the Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque.
Skin:
Bathes are a key part of my nighttime ritual and I love to make them extra relaxing and rejuvenating with oils or salts. If I’m extremely sore & in need of some help with recovery, I’ll add Epsom salts. And if I had a stressful day or am having trouble sleeping that week, I’ll add peppermint essential oils. Bonus points if you add a candle to bath time for pampering night!
I’m a bit of a coconut fanatic and after my nightly bath I smother myself with Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter which is a magical, wonderful thing that I highly recommend.
