Questions with Caity – Partie Tres

Welcome back to the third installation of Questions with Caity!

This post is all about favorites! From activities to entertainment, here are some of my all time favorites.

What is your favorite weekend activity?

Hiking and cooking. Getting outside and having quality time in the kitchen are the two highlights of a relaxing, productive weekend for me.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Yes! A few, but one of my absolute favorites is actually a poem by Henry David Thoreau:

I went into woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

What’s your favorite movie? TV show?

My favorite movie, since I was a kid, is Charade with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. Boondock Saints and Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels round out the top three. 🙂

Friends is one of those shows that you can always pick up which is fun, I especially love watching that one during spin class!

What’s your favorite book? Do you have a favorite author?

I grew up rereading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas almost every year, and it’s still one that I love.

I’d say that my favorite authors are also ones from my childhood. My father read my brother and I fantasy books so I have a healthy appreciation of J.R.R. Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, Philip Pullman, Patricia Wrede, Sherwood Smith, and Diana Wynn Jones.

Favorite color?

Green is my favorite color, but I wear black most of the time.

Don’t miss out on the first two installments of this series – Questions with Caity and Questions with Caity: Partie Deux.
