While I know that Summer has already officially started, most years celebrating the 4th of July weekend usually feels like the first true weekend of Summer.
So how will I be celebrating? The same way as last year – Getting out of the city and enjoying sunshine, water, great food, and friends.
Fashion:
Check out everything that I’m taking away with me this weekend here. Lots of maxi dresses, swimsuits, and even some fun straw hats.
Food:
This weekend is all about BBQ and giant, colorful veggie dishes. With farmers markets and roadside fruit stands on the way out-of-town, we’ll be all stocked up on fresh produce for healthy, satiating meals.
I also brought protein bars and hearty oats to supplement my main whole food-based meals. Plus I love packing my protein powder in little BlenderBottle GoStak Jars.
Fitness:
I love getting out of the city to take advantage of clean air and trails. This is especially important during this trip since I’m finally starting to think about the San Francisco Half Marathon that I’m signed up to run in late July.
