MCLV Style | My Current Uniform

I talked about my classic and somewhat minimal approach to fashion and style recently. In general, I’d rather have fewer high quality pieces that fit perfectly into my wardrobe than fast fashion trends that get tossed after one wear. {You can read more about my thoughts on fast fashion here – Why I Shop Vintage and Consignment}

This week, I’m sharing an example of my “uniform.” No, I’m not Steve Jobs-ing it up and wearing the exact same thing every day. Though I have to admit, that’s definitely tempting some days. 🙂

What I mean by uniform is that I wear a variation on a similar style most of my days off. While I adore dresses and will be back in full dress mode as soon as the weather warms up, this time of year is all about pants for me.

Specifically – Slim fitting pants and tunics.

I’m always on the lookout for a great pair of pants. I’m extremely picky about how things fit on my waist and since I have muscular, athletic legs, I try not to end up at the skin-tight end of the slim fitting pants spectrum. These Who What Wear for Target pants are great. I was looking for my favorite deodorant and spotted these, and had to try them on. I was surprised by the quality and the fit, both of which were great. They also come in an army green version which I may have to pick up. And here I simply paired them with a classic striped tunic and a longline vest for layering.
