Maxi Skirts & Dresses

Maxi lengths are perfect for most of the year – Wear with sandals and a tank during the warm-weather months and add layers and boots for a great Fall style.

During the Summer I love maxi skirts and dresses for virtually all settings. Throw a boho inspired dress over your bathing suit on vacation, pair with killer heels and statement jewelry for a night out on the town, or add a basic tee & ballet flats for a great errand-running look.

Blogger Fashion

One of the reasons that I love reading style sites is to get inspired by blogger fashion – It’s such a unique, personal way to be able to experience international street style. However, I must confess that my blog reading has opened me up to something I’ll call “sartorial jealousy.” While the stylish combinations of separates and fun mixing & matching inspire me to run to my closet to play dress up – I also come across gorgeous, swoon-worthy, designer gear that I fall head-over-heels in love with even knowing that I will never own them.

Celine bags, Chanel jackets, studded Valentinos, sky-high Christian Louboutins… Fabulous pieces that appear on site after site that I’d love to own but probably never will since I like to eat and pay rent… {On a related note – Shit Bloggers Wear is a Must Read}

As a result, I’ve fallen in love with blogger shops where you can order some of the pieces you’ve been drooling over on their site – For a fraction of the cost. I was hesitant at first but then I stumbled on Anouska Proetta Brandon’s online shop here and just couldn’t help myself!

{You can see more pictures of these pieces on the following posts: Weekend Style, Easter FashionEasy Tips For Mixing Prints & Embellish Me

So with my love of blogger e-shops in mind I wanted to let you know that you can buy accessories, shoes, bags, and clothing from my closet – All brand new or barely worn – Over on the Socialbliss website.

Spring 2013 Trend: Track Pants

My relationship with the current track pant trend is sort of like a high school relationship – It’s complicated.

On paper – I hate the idea. I like formality and classic styles so a trend that makes pants that could feasibly be worn to the gym appropriate street-wear isn’t necessarily ideal in my mind. That being said, I’ve found myself thoroughly enjoying some of the styles that I’ve seen put together lately.

My conclusion? I like them on other people, when worn right, but I will probably never head to the store expressly to buy myself a pair. It’s just not my style. But if this is your style than you’re in luck, I rounded up some great examples of just how to pull off this trend!

Enjoy the pictures my loves!

{Jada Pinkett Smith is white-hot in an all white look and track pants with a neon tuxedo stripe.}

{You don’t have to feel obligated to try this trend out in basic colors or fabrics – Get creative like Camille Over The Rainbow and try out a leather pair!}

{Want to make your look Spring-ready? Try layering florals like The Fashion Guitar for a fun, eclectic look.}

{Black & white plus a pop of color is a color scheme that can easily be applied to this track pant trend – On The Racks does it write in a Letterman sweater and aqua pumps.}

{If you’re not a heel girl but want to add a feminine touch to your track pants than wedges are a great option. A graphic tee is another great way to add your own personal spin to a look.}

Where do you stand on track pants? Will you be giving this trend a try?

St. Patty’s Day Isn’t Just For The Irish…

I’ve always loved St. Patrick’s Day. Always.

Partially, I’m sure, due to my Irish background and the fact that my brother’s name is Patrick. And partially due to the fact that, after Halloween, this is the second most fun holiday all year. Like with Halloween you get to act like a kid {even The Huffington Post agrees that this is a good idea}, eat great food, and thoroughly enjoy yourself. Though obviously my celebrations have changed over the years – I went from a “Kiss Me I’m Irish” pin when I was 9 to Jameson shots until 2am when I was 23. Never a good idea on a Wednesday, let me tell you. But however I’ve celebrated over the years, it’s always been a fun, memorable celebration.

To help get you in the mood and prove that anyone can love St. Patty’s Day, here are some fun ways to celebrate – From fashion to try to recipes that’ll make you drool there’s a little something for everyone.

Sweet tooth? Cupcakes & Cashmere has everything you could possibly want with her amazing Homemade Shamrock Shake.

If you’re in the mood for some savory, traditional Irish grub but want to keep things on the healthier side than check out Fat Free Vegan’s Colcannon Puffs, Skillet Shepard’s Pie, and Vegan Cabbage Rolls.

Guinness Cupcakes w/ Bailey’s Irish Cream Filling sound like the PERFECT way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day to me, but if boozy cupcakes aren’t the way to your heart, than perhaps Mint Chocolate Cupcakes are the answer.

It doesn’t get more festive than Purely Twins’s St. Patty’s Day Inspired Green Mint Marshmallows {Sugar-Free}. Cute, green, AND sugar-free? These are at the top of my Must Make list.

For lovers of Emerald this is THE holiday to celebrate! Need some inspiration? Check out the following person style posts: Emerald City, Prints Prints Prints, and St. Patrick’s Day Style.
