MCLV Style | Peter Pan Booties

Since I (finally) gave up heels in favor of being able to walk without excruciating pain {You can read the story here – The Painful Truth About High Heels} I’ve been on a seemingly full-time mission to find cute, flattering, versatile flat shoes.

You know the ones I mean.

A pair that you wear to work or out for dinner, and can – GASP – Actually walk in.

You can check out my Fall Footwear blog post for some of my picks for this season. Hands down, my two favorites are the Vince Camuto Karita Leather Block Heel Over The Knee Boots and Unisa Adivan Over The Knee Boots from DSW.

So when I saw these flat Peter Pan Booties on The Real Real website, I was thrilled. They have that delicate, feminine silhouette to them that makes them look great with dresses as well as slim-cut pants. They even look great with tights!

Plus they’re flat with a thick sole, which means that they’re comfortable for walking around the city in this time of year.

Sadly, this specific pair is sold out, but here are some similar styles:

Fall Footwear | Boots & Booties

I don’t know about you – But this time of year I start itching to pull out my boots and booties. Over the years I’ve put some time and attention into my collection. While I used to veer towards stilettos and less-than-comfortable brands, I’ve come to realize something very important when it comes to footwear.

Happy feet, Happy Caity.

So here are some of my favorite styles – Including both steals and investment pieces – That you should look at for Fall.

Ankle Booties:

Whether you like some height or want to keep ’em low, ankle boots never go out of style. So find a pair you love and hang on to them!

I remember my first pair of mid-calf height boots – My mom got them for me for Christmas my junior or senior year of high school. Probably junior year since I remember wearing them while touring college campuses. I remember the feel of the leather and my sadness when I saw how much the heel was wearing down!

The love affair continues…

These boots are a must. You can wear this style for everything from work to errands to date night. It’s extremely versatile, and if you play your cards right, comfortable.

There was a time when I immediately pictured Julie Roberts a la Pretty Woman when someone said that phrase “Thigh High.” Now these babies are a staple in my wardrobe. Here are my top picks for “OTK” (aka Over the Knee) boots that you can wear all day long.

I’ve GOT to know – What’s YOUR favorite pair?

Fall Shopping

After getting inspired for Fall and checking out the fashion and beauty trends for Fall I wanted to share my personal picks for this coming Fall/Winter season – It’s all about classic lines and dark, moody hues.

{Asos Faux Leather Pants – $59, Ralph Lauren Plaid Shirt Dress – $129, MICHAEL Michael Kors Peep-Toe Bootie – $225 & French Connection Faux Leather Trimmed Trench Coat – $205}

Faux Leather Pants:

What I love about these babies is how versatile they are – They add a rock n’ roll twist to everything from an oversized tunic to a basic tee paired with a cropped jacket.

I love classic plaid for Fall and this season there’s tons of fun plaid out there – From accessories and handbags to pants, tops, and dresses. This plaid shirt dress caught my eye because it can be dressed up in so many different ways. Tights and comfortable flat booties will be the perfect daytime look and for evening you can add a pair of sexy heels and a cropped leather jacket to glam it up.

Lace-Up Booties:

Boots and booties are a must for Fall and this year I just can’t get enough of fun, eye-catching extras like open toes, buckles, and laces. Luckily for me these gorgeous heels include all three, so obviously I can’t live without them!

A navy trench coat has been on my Must Have list for a while now and while a girl can dream of Burberry sometimes you’ve got to compromise. This French Connection faux leather trimmed trench is so cute that I just had to make it my own!

What’s at the top of your Fall shopping list?
