If you’re following MCLV on Instagram you got a little treat last Friday. {And if you’re not – Why not? Go here and follow now!}

I was excited to be a part of a fabulous Follow Friday roundtable last week and since I have such a high opinion of these amazing ladies, I wanted to share again here.

So read on for a few of my favorite fitness and lifestyle bloggers!

Fashion Food Fitness Lifestyle Blogger Follow Friday

Gina from The Fitnessista – This was actually one of the very first fitness blogs that I started following when I got interested in healthy living during my twenties. I made all of her recipes. Followed her travel adventures. And printed out ALL of her workouts. Can’t recommend this blog enough – She has a great, healthy approach to living and the workouts are killer!

Bethann of Bethanimalprint – If you’re an MCLV regular this blog should sound pretty familiar. Not only did we do a Blogger Fashion series with some other bloggers, but we also did a Fitness Friday collaboration last year. And if you’re an expecting mother, head over to her site asap for some serious fashion inspiration!

Ashley of A Lady Goes West – You recently saw this gorgeous girl in my Vint post. She a local fitness and lifestyle blogger that I adore – Not only does she always have an amazing attitude & great for a dose of inspiration, but she’s also a total badass in the gym which I recently got the chance to witness first hand!

Whitney from Live and Diet in L.A. – This website has some serious food porn that you’ve got to go check out. Chickpea Curry? Yes please. Gluten-Free Banana Waffles? Hell yes!

So tell me – Who inspires YOU?

Celebrating Americana

This Fourth of July is especially exciting this year with recent legislation in the United States making me even more thrilled to celebrate this amazing country.

When I hear the word “Americana” I envision red, white, and blue pieces, I picture flags and stripes, and I think of looks that are a little bit cowboy with a touch of hippie chic.

Wanderlust: California Dreaming

So far 2014 has been filled with fun trips to fulfill my wanderlust urges, amazing events, and weekends packed with meetings, social obligations, photo shoots, and fun.

Already this year I’ve taken trips to New York, Los Angeles for Lucky FABB, and New Orleans. And after those great adventures I thought I’d round out the first half of the year by heading out of the city yet again, but instead of a new-to-me city I’m headed for one of my all-time favorite destinations.

Wanderlust California Dreaming Travel Fallen Leaf Lake South Lake Tahoe

{Fallen Leaf Lake, California near South Lake Tahoe}

I’ve been spending Summers at our cabin on Fallen Leaf Lake since I was a child. Playing with/on/around all of the boats in the boathouse {canoes, kayaks, a Sun Fish, motor boat…}, hiking around the lake & surrounding mountains, learning how to build a fire, eating on the deck, putting together puzzles with my brother, playing Scrabble with my amazing Grandma, trips into “town” to go the old-fashioned ice cream parlor in Camp Richardson…

And while I’ve been at the lake with my immediate family, my extended family, and even with just my friends {best girls weekend EVER}, this is actually the very first trip heading up with just my mom.

Our Mommy-Daughter weekend is slated to include three blissful days of boating, reading, hiking, cooking, and enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

I’ll see you kids on Monday, have a great weekend!

Birthday Bonanza

This past week I celebrated my thirtieth birthday and it was a pretty spectacular experience that included a family dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco (restaurant review upcoming), a trip to Sonoma, wine tastings, and a weekend in Glen Ellen with my family & friends.

Here are some highlights from my birthday weekend!

{My colleagues are so amazing – I’m a lucky girl!}

{We’re a fashionable crowd}

{Speaking of lucky…}

Thank you to all of my friends & family who helped make my 30th birthday weekend so amazing & memorable – I appreciate it more than I can say!

MCLV Style: IFBCON Day Two

So far I’ve gotten around to sharing with you my adventures at the IFB Conference in New York last week, as well as what I wore on the first day of the festivities, so today I’m here to share my outfit for the second day of the conference.

I actually flew home in this and was impressed by how comfortable the whole outfit was – That’s not an easy flight and an uncomfortable top or bottom can make it all the more miserable. I’ve definitely regretted more than one outfit over the years!

Do you dress up when you travel? It’s something that I’ve always done, because of my old-school love of formality and because I used to have to dress up to travel for sports. I like to be comfortable, but I definitely put in some effort, what about you?
