This edition of the Blogger Confessions series is a special one. Today I’m confessing some funny factoids & pet peeves relating to my experiences with blogging and the always-bananas fashion industry.
I get more emails and social media comments addressed to “Moi” than my actual name – Which is Caity – Despite the fact that my name is written on every account and moi actually translates into “me” in French.
Despite the fact that I work full time in finance, I would say that my true vocational title is Writer. Not only do I maintain this blog, I’m the fashion editor for Legally Vogue, do freelance writing for local magazines like GEV and Fashion Xchange, and I’m working on finishing my first novel.
I do virtually all of my writing and social media scheduling for the week on weekends. When I’m in town I spend Saturday and/or Sunday morning writing at my favorite café until I head home for a run.
Since I began blogging four years ago – Wow, how the time flies – I’ve tried new apps and platforms that hit the scene, but I’ve always been loyal to the big four. You can find nearly daily updates from Moi Contre La Vie on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
While I’ve had the honor of working with some amazing international brands – Like Tiffany & Co., Banana Republic Factory, and Lorna Jane – I get even more excited to work with local, new, and up-and-coming designers, brands, and companies. Some of my favorite collaborations to date are with names that I’m sure will be on everyone’s tongues in a few years. Here are a few of my highlights:
- House of CCUOCO
- A by Anubha
- Les Mechantes
- Trendy Mondays
- Marrin Costello
- Kamryn Dame
- Sasha Maks Vintage
