Fall Shopping

After getting inspired for Fall and checking out the fashion and beauty trends for Fall I wanted to share my personal picks for this coming Fall/Winter season – It’s all about classic lines and dark, moody hues.

{Asos Faux Leather Pants – $59, Ralph Lauren Plaid Shirt Dress – $129, MICHAEL Michael Kors Peep-Toe Bootie – $225 & French Connection Faux Leather Trimmed Trench Coat – $205}

Faux Leather Pants:

What I love about these babies is how versatile they are – They add a rock n’ roll twist to everything from an oversized tunic to a basic tee paired with a cropped jacket.

I love classic plaid for Fall and this season there’s tons of fun plaid out there – From accessories and handbags to pants, tops, and dresses. This plaid shirt dress caught my eye because it can be dressed up in so many different ways. Tights and comfortable flat booties will be the perfect daytime look and for evening you can add a pair of sexy heels and a cropped leather jacket to glam it up.

Lace-Up Booties:

Boots and booties are a must for Fall and this year I just can’t get enough of fun, eye-catching extras like open toes, buckles, and laces. Luckily for me these gorgeous heels include all three, so obviously I can’t live without them!

A navy trench coat has been on my Must Have list for a while now and while a girl can dream of Burberry sometimes you’ve got to compromise. This French Connection faux leather trimmed trench is so cute that I just had to make it my own!

Fall Must Have: Maxi

One of the perfect pieces to take you and your wardrobe from Summer-to-Fall this year is a maxi dress. They’re versatile and easy to layer so you can continue to wear them when the temperatures start to drop.

{If you’re not in the mood for a dress then a skirt is the next best option. A bold color or a fun fabric can add some serious punch to your look – This red pleated number from Beth Animal Print is one of my favorites this year!}

{You can easily & stylishly layer a sweater or jacket over your dress to stay warm like So You Agree does in this shot.}

{Are prints and bold colors not your style? Invest in a classic black or grey dress that can be updated throughout the year – It’s amazing what a difference layers can make – Just ask Adelle from Fashionista Lab}

{Left – Like Mynded ‘Grace’ Maxi Skirt, Center – Lush Knit Tie Dye Maxi Dress & Right – ASTR Lace Inset Maxi Dress}

There’s nothing boring about the maxi dresses and maxi skirts out there this season. If you’re a girl who likes to make a statement then try a bright hue or a bold print. Prefer the classics? Stick with a black or neutral, but find one with a little something extra like a dramatic low back, romantic lace details, or an eye-catching hemline.

Once you’ve picked out your dress or skirt you can easily update your look from Summery to Fall-ready by swapping out your sandals for cute flats or ankle booties, and by layering on a sweater or jacket.

Tell me – What’s YOUR favorite way to wear a maxi?

Be Bold:

Dramatic, eye-catching hues are on my Must Have list for this Fall and Winter. That will certainly include boldly colored nails {think navy and oxblood} as well as deep berry pouts.

Fall Skin Care:

You may think that the sun, salt, and water during the warm weather months are tough on your skin but dry, cold air can be just as harsh so be sure to exfoliate, moisturize, and give your skin & tresses some much-needed TLC this Fall.

Smooth It Out:

Before you start painting on the color this Fall you’ll need to have the perfect canvas to work with – Clean, smooth, healthy-looking skin requires exfoliation, moisturizer, and smoothing on a glow-inducing tinted moisturizerBB Cream, or foundation.

{Left: Dior Hydra Life Tinted Moisturizer & Right: NARS Multiple Makeup Stick}
