Holiday Party Style

Thanksgiving has passed and we’re heading straight into Holiday party season – That means cocktail dresses, blow-outs, cat eyes, and some serious bling.

Fall means holiday season, which means cocktail parties, holiday events, family get togethers, dinners with friends, and all of that great stuff. What makes all of those events even more fun? Not having to worry about what to wear. And having the perfect cocktail frock, or two, on hand, makes it a breeze.

Whether you’re a little black dress lover or always go for a bold hue or dramatic print, we all need a dress to throw on in case of punch.

Nothing says “holiday season” more than some sparkle. From full¬†sequined pieces to slightly more subtle accessories, there are a ton of fun, eye-catching options out there for any party you’ve got on the schedule.

Some of my favorites this season are the Express Velvet Sequin Embellished Leggings, Tory Burch Sequin Embellished Pumps on super sale over at The Real Real, and this DIVINE Sonia Rykiel Sequin Tassel Belt Bag.

Touchable Fabrics:

Lace, brocades, velvets – What do they have in common? They’re all ultra luxe materials that you’ll want to reach out and touch.

Have a holiday cocktail party coming up in December? Try throwing a bold, colorful velvet blazer over your favorite little black dress to spice it up.

Christmas tree lighting on the books? This printed Madison Jacquard Topper from J. Jill is just the thing to keep you both warm AND festive.

Ice skating or other adorable holiday-centric date before the end of the year? Accessorize! Fuzzy earmuffs, soft faux fur scarves, and cozy lined gloves will all help you stay warm. And stylish. ūüôā

Pantsuit NATION:

Pants are always a great option. From bold hues to cozy corduroy to sleek black – This season they’re the perfect way to make a serious impact.

A few wallflowers-need-not-apply varieties that I’m loving right now¬†are the seriously luxurious navy blue Fashion Union Velvet Suit from ASOS,¬†the Collection Martin Greenfield Clothiers for J.Crew Ludlow Blazer and matching ankle-length pants, and the super eye-catching Express Open Back Red Jumpsuit.

Why am I talking in this last photo?

Fun fact – Approximately three minutes before this photograph was taken I saw Karlie Kloss walk down the street. I actually didn’t stop talking for roughly an hour after this.

What’s YOUR holiday party style?
