MCLV Style: Chambray

A chambray piece is effortlessly chic and always in style, which means that this sweet little striped number from Les Mechantes is everything that you need for Spring this season. And probably next season as well.

An eye-catching striped print, a flirty little hemline, and an easy-to-style silhouette that looks great solo or can be paired with anything from a cropped denim jacket to a beautiful embroidered coat like the one pictured here.

That’s what I really love about this material – It’s versatility.

You can easily dress it up or down, and you can style it in any number of ways. It’s always fun and flattering, and totally easy to wear.

MCLV Style: Striped Spring Separates

Matching separates are a long-time favorite of mine – Check out this black & white look from a 2014 trip to Los Angeles. It’s a really fun and striking style, especially when there are prints involved.

And luckily for us, Spring is the perfect time to deploy this fabulous, flattering style!

Shopping local is my favorite way to find new goodies, and a perusal of the chic racks at Ghirardelli Square’s Les Mechantes afforded me some Must Haves for Spring this season.

Among the dresses, and lightweight outerwear, were these highly covetable striped pieces in royal blue and palest pink.

MCLV Style: Spring Dresses

When someone says “Spring fashion” what do you immediately think of?

My mind may dance from bold prints to mixing & matching, but it always settles on dresses. Spring dresses are the epitome of Spring fashion in my mind.

This chic little shift dress is a must for Spring – The rusty rose color is flattering to many skin tones and the silhouette is easy and flattering.

The length is great too – Pair it with flats and a trench coat while running errands on the weekend or mix up the textures and vibe with a fuzzy coat and heels like I wore here.

Spring dresses are my staple this time of year because they’re so simple and easy to wear – I love being able to toss on the perfect little number and be ready to walk out the door in mere minutes.

Even better? You can pile on the fun jewelry – Day or night, you can’t go wrong. Chokers {yes, they’re back in a MAJOR way}, lariats, layered bracelets, and more – They definitely make the look!

MCLV Style: Pink-on-Pink

I may not be a head-to-toe pink girl on a regular basis, but I am – And always will be – An outerwear girl.

Give me a killer coat and I’m a happy, happy blogger.

The detailing on this pale pink beauty really blew me away. The construction is simple and the coat is a great staple piece, but the embroidery is exquisite and really takes it to the next level.

It’s the kind of easy-to-wear statement piece that you can throw over anything and *make* your look. From jeans & flats to a little black dress, this coat will elevate your outfit.

We actually shot this across the street from the fabulous little Les Mechantes boutique in Ghirardelli Square. It’s such a beautiful location – All you have to do it walk towards the water and you’ve got some lovely little spots for an impromptu photo shoot.

If you’re a fan of sweet pink pieces or of great outerwear, I highly recommend checking out Les Mechantes‘s gorgeous Valentine’s Day-ready collection just in time for Spring!

MCLV Style: Lace + Flowers

I’ve never felt terribly compelled to follow the “No white after Labor Day” rule.

I rarely feel the urge to wear white so when the urge strikes, I always go with it, regardless of the time of year.

And there was no stopping me after I spotted this demure-but-eye-catching white lace peek-a-boo dress at Les Mechantes.

It’s such a versatile dress, I’ve already worn it three times, styled completely differently each time.

The first time I wore it with a Banana Republic pearl necklace and pumps for a country club themed party, and the second was with sandals, layered necklaces, and a Vince Camuto jean jacket for brunch.

And this most recent time I went for colorful printed Kate Spade heels that I swooped up on The Real Real and a sleek white clutch.
