Fashion Blogger Crushes: Lucky FABB 2014

I recently made the mecca to Los Angeles for Lucky Magazine’s twice annual Lucky FABB West Conference. While I got the chance to meet some interesting new ladies and was introduced to a few great new brands, what this trip really highlighted for me was just how much I love San Francisco bloggers!

There was a great turn out and some of my favorite SF ladies headed down with me for a few days of sunshine, fashion & rooftop margaritas in Beverly Hills. Since you may not know them and their fabulous blogs yet, I wanted to introduce you to  few of my Fashion Blogger Crushes:

My roommate for the trip, Bethann from Beth Animal Print, is practically a  MCLV regular. She made an appearance last year in my San Francisco Fashion Blogger Crushes round-up, was interviewed on her beauty routine, and frequently plays photographer for me at events.

Are you as much in love with these shoes as me? Still dying over them!

Donna from So You Agree and I met last year after a chance encounter at SFO on our way down to LA for our first Lucky FABB West experience in April 2013. We talked so much in line to get on the plane that a woman offered to switch seats with us so we could sit together – We were fast friends by the time we landed in Los Angeles!

Carlina from Allergic To Vanilla is known for her fabulous menswear-inspired looks and killer hat collection – Both of which she brought to LA. I wanted to steal everything she wore!

Kat from KatWalk SF is a regular on my Instagram feed and my usual partner-in-crime for San Francisco fashion events. Luckily she was able to make a last-minute trip down to LA to grace us all with her JLo inspired presence. 🙂

Jes from Ryzenberg On is our group’s little social butterfly – She’s met everyone, knows what’s going on each day, and spends enough time in Los Angeles to have restaurant & day trip recommendations.

This past weekend also held a fun milestone for me, it marked my first “In Real Life” meeting with Cara of Cara’s Cliché. You may remember her from our Blogger Collaborations last year {Blogger Fashion: Monochrome & Blogger Fashion: 1 Striped Shirt – 5 Ways}. It was great to finally meet this fashionable beauty in person and she was immediately adopted into our “SF Blogger” group as an honorary San Franciscan.

A quick shout out on the brand side – It was fantastic to see San Francisco based fashion app Poshmark doing their thing down in LA. I love being able to support a great Bay Area company!

MCLV Style: Black & White Street Style

A few weeks ago I shared my colorblocked Fall look from the first day of Lucky FABB in New York City, along with some of the conference highlights. Today I’m sharing my black & white look for the second day of the conference as well as introducing you to some of the amazing writers that I spent time with in NYC.

In 2013 I had the honor of attending four blogging conferences – IFBCON in February during New York Fashion Week, Lucky FABB in LA in April, iFabbo here in San Francisco early in October, and then finally Lucky FABB’s East Coast conference in late October.

Each of the conferences provided me with information, {everything from technology updates and improving writing skills to helpful new software & aps to check out} access to great speakers, {celebrities, designers, editors, writers, bloggers…}, endless inspiration, and my favorite part – Introduced me to amazing women with similar interests and passions.

During my most recent blogger conference I spent my down-time with some of my favorite San Francisco ladies who also made the trip, as well as bloggers I hadn’t seen since previous events and new friends.

Do YOU like wearing Black & White as well? What’s YOUR favorite color combination?

MCLV Style: Fall Colors

A few weeks ago I said goodbye to San Francisco and ran off to New York City for a brief Fall love affaire. While I fell in love with San Francisco during a 6th grade field trip and can’t imagine living somewhere else, I must confess that there’s very little I love more than a quick New York City getaway. From the weather & Central Park to visiting friends & fabulous street style – There’s always something to look forward to.

This particular trip was even more exciting as I was heading to Times Square for Lucky Magazine’s Lucky FABB Conference – An amazing two days packed with speakers, Q&A sessions, brand presentations, and one seriously huge goodie bag.

Highlight from the trip? Listening to the stunning & surprisingly relatable Eva Mendes as she talked about her love of fashion & the new line she designed for New York & Co., and listening to my favorite editor Eva Chen talk about everything from running in Valentino Rock Studs to dying her hair purple to openly crying at Marc Jacobs’s last show for Louis Vuitton. She’s just plain amazing and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for Lucky!

So what do you wear when you’re going to be surrounded by fashion bloggers and editors in one of the fashion capitals of the world? Bold, vibrant Fall Colors and plenty of bling. 🙂

What are your favorite Fall Colors?
