Style File: Peace Love Shea in Gucci

I fell madly in love with this look from LA-based blogger Peace Love Shea during the recent New York Fashion Week shows {Bloggers Do It Better: New York Fashion Week Street Style} and immediately started counting down the minutes until I’d have time to shop for similar pieces. And while I’m sure we’d all love to pick up this stunning Gucci outfit & Alexander McQueen coat, I thought I’d try to find something a little more reasonable on the price scale for us mere mortals.

{Peace Love Shea’s La Vie En Rose}

I love the matching, brilliantly colored top and bottom in this look as well as the chic white touches here. And while this coral is stunning on her, I also just like the concept of a look with an all-over color or print.

Coral Combo:

Slim Trouser – $39 @ Mango

Bow Blouse – $28 @ Mango

These sweet Mango separates are a great choice – Not only do they look lovely together, they’re both great, versatile pieces in general and you’d be able to wear them all Spring.

Blue & White Floral Combo:

Printed Cuff Pant – $119 @ Bebe

Floral Print Blazer – $139 @ Bebe

All-over prints are definitely my Achilles heel this Spring and I absolutely love these pieces. Not only do they look fabulous together, you can easily wear each with black, white, any shade of blue, or even a bright color like purple, fuchsia, or yellow.

Talk about versatile!

White Coat:

WhiteCoats

Left: White Coat – $79 on sale @ Dorothy Perkins

Right: Tinley Road Classic Claudine Coat – $35 on sale @ Piperlime

I love a chic white coat – It’s just so classic. So chic. So French!

In addition to the amazing main pieces that make up this chic look, the accessories, while understated color-wise, are actually quite high-impact as well.

Clear Clutch:

ClearPlasticClutches

The Ceres Clutch in Recycled Lucite – $95

White Shoes:

WhiteHeels

Pointed Ankle Strap Court Shoes – $44 @ Asos

Mossimo Ankle Strap Heels – $29 @ Target

That clear clutch is perfection paired with the white heels and white coat – It all comes together to create a perfect look. I can’t wait to give this a try!

Fashion Week Round-Up

Now that Fashion Month has come to an end I wanted to show you some of the fun highlights from the shows in New York City, London, Milan, and Paris. As with my first Fashion Week post {How To Apply Fashion Week To YOU} this isn’t going to be a review of the collections but rather some fun fashion inspiration to get you in the mood to put together your own killer Spring looks.

OliviaPalermoFashionWeek

{You can always count on Olivia Palermo to pull together some fabulous looks for Fashion Week – She’s always one of the faces that I look for. Clearly she’s loving the prints trends for Spring as much as I am!}

LondonFashionWeekLeopardStuds

{I love animal prints and I’ve been drooling over all the gorgeous embellishments for Spring – From studs & sequins to brocades, embroideries & beading. Leopard print + studs? This jacket is basically my happy place!}

LondonFashionWeekBurberry

{Checking out what the models are wearing between the shows & to the Fashion Week parties is always a highlight for me. This shot of the stylish ladies who walked the Burberry show at London Fashion Week is a great one from Shit Models Say – I love all the zebra print flats & Mr. Bailey looks fabulous!}

FashionWeekCollage

{I adore these Fashion Week: The Real Show pictures from Glamgerous, so many gorgeous shots of colorful, fun accessories. Time. To. Go. Shopping.}

MilanFashionWeek

{This Milan Fashion Week shot is one of my favorites – I love the chic black & white look punctuated with fun details. Those shoes are KILLER!}

FashionWeekFriends

{Fashionable friends Anne-Catherine Frey & Peony Lim stick together. I love both of these looks: On the left the paler hues & sweet prints look great with the white studded mini Alexander Wang Rocco Duffle and on the right the bright, bold printed pants are taken to a new level with dramatic oxblood accessories. Great job ladies!}

MilanFashionWeekRedAndOrange

{Not only does she look AMAZING in red + orange, she also looks like she’s having a great time. Very refreshing!}

AimeeSong

{This is without a doubt my favorite Fashion Week photo. During Fashion Week we’re always seeing editors, actors, celebrities, models, bloggers, and fashion industry insiders looking head-to-toe perfect in thousands of dollars of borrowed clothes, and I for one find that to be somewhat discouraging. It’s so great to see someone who I look up to doing something “real” that we’ve all done – i.e. changing out of heels and into comfortable shoes after an event.}

Bloggers Do It Better: New York Fashion Week Street Style

In past seasons I’ve tried to include a round-up of street style shots for each of the four major Fashion Weeks so that you can see what people are wearing to the shows and events, in addition to what’s being shown on the runway. However, as I’ve gotten more and more interested in fashion and started following more and more fashion blogs, photographers, fashion magazine editors etc., I’ve realized that my favorite street style is usually the fashion bloggers.

Their style is somehow more real. Yes, many of them are getting gifts and swag and being lent clothes, but the way that they put looks together and pair pieces from their own wardrobe, and mix high & low is just plain inspirational.

Enjoy!

OutOfABook

{I’m having a love affaire w/ rolled pants this Winter – I love the silhouette whether it’s with heels or ankle boots}

WeWoreWhat

{This Tibi suit is one of my favorite power suits of New York Fashion Week. The bold hue, the cropped pants, the unique styling from We Wore What. Perfection!}

SongOfStyle

{I’m a total color junkie during Winter – I feel like it’s a great line of defense against seasonal depression. 🙂 And nothing about this fabulous floral pant + yellow outerwear look makes me 100% happy!}

Glamgerous

{Sweet, ladylike, classic. Amid all of the Fashion with a capital F during Fashion Week sometimes a look that’s just plain chic rules the day!}

OnTheRacks

{I’m a sucked for jumpsuits! I love this sapphire colored Rebecca Taylor jumpsuit paired w/ the perfect green coat and great cold-weather accessories. You can check out another one of On The Racks’s great NYFW outfits over on my IFBCON post when I was lucky enough to meet her!}

FashionSteele

{One of my favorite people to follow this season was Monroe Steele of Fashion Steele NY – In addition to putting together some killer looks, like this eye-catching white ensemble, she also looked like she was having a genuinely great time at all the shows. That kind of passion is just plain contagious!}

PeaceLoveShea

{LA-based Peace Love Shea always brings the drama when she heads to NYC and this look was head-to-toe perfection. Unfortunately the fact that this coral ensemble was Gucci had me utterly devastated since I couldn’t run out and buy my own asap – But you can find a similar look here.}

ChriselleFactory

{Animal prints are a great way to spice up your Winter looks and keep things sartorially interesting. This Thakoon Addition leopard print blazer & pant combo was of my favorites and I loved how the always impeccably Chriselle Lim styled her look.}

WendysLookbook

{When it comes to chic, perfectly styled looks Wendy of Wendy’s Lookbook is one of my favorites, I love the yellow & green color combination here, the statement necklace, and the timeless Givenchy Nightingale Satchel. Tres chic!}

Voyage To Marrakech

A big Thank You to The Factory and The Evans Group for the unbelievable trip to Marrakech last week – Who knew that in the streets of SOMA you could escape to the market stalls of exotic Morocco?

Voyage To Marrakech is an evening inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s glamorous 1970’s lifestyle in Moroco to showcase their Spring 2013 Collection. An illuminated nighttime Marrakech marketplace, with cocktails, food, and music, and live photoshoot presentation, featuring live vignettes inspired by iconic YSL iconic photographs.

Stylish San Franciscans flocked to our own personal Marrakech last week to celebrate The Factory’s new collection inspired by the love affaire that YSL had with Marrakech.

{The looks that evening ran the gamut from ultra modern to vintage inspired to came-straight-from-the-office}

{Cocktails, mannequins sporting Yves Saint Laurent-inspired frocks, friends reuniting, fortune tellers…}

{And the models showed off a phenomenal Spring 2013 collection filled with sleek, shimmering fabrics, vintage patterns & prints, luxurious metallics, faux fur, relaxed silhouettes, and fun accessories}

{I wore a long-sleeved, high-neck vintage shift dress, Zara ankle strap heels, and a fabulous gold necklace from Sasha Maks Vintage}

{Check out more photographs from this event here – Just log into Facebook to view}

This was the fifth event that I’ve had the honor of attending at The Factory, check out my posts on the previous events below:

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2013 – Street Style & Front Row Fashion

Here we are, the final post from Spring 2013 Fashion Week in New York, London, Milan, and Paris. Today we’ll be looking at some of the best street style from Fashion Month – The ladies really dress to the nines when it comes to being photographed at Paris Fashion Week.

I adore this look from head-to-toe! From the quilted motorcycle jacket to the striking black & white bag to the suede ankle boots. Well done!

This look is so sweet and retro I couldn’t help but love it. The contrasting colored tights and chunky velvet ankle strap sandals are my favorite part!

A dramatic black & white look with a splash of color is a great color scheme to work with and the sleek silhouette of this look is even more striking.

This outfit is all about the tan, double-breasted coat. I love a dramatic outerwear look like this!

A floral jumpsuit is just the thing in the Parisian parks when paired with a tan wrap-around belt and a striking coral Chanel bag.

This is one of the most stunning overcoats that I’ve seen in a while –  A stunning color with a fun, eye-catching brooch and a great retro vibe.

So chic & well put together! The bright, collared shirt dress paired with a sleek black leather jacket is a great pairing and suits her perfectly.

Karmen may be Estonian, but she’s got the French je ne sais quoi in spades. This layered black look is striking & eye-catching despite being monochromatic.

Such a stunning, Summery look – The floral maxi looks great paired with the white, cropped leather jacket and that Hermes Birkin bag is swoon-worthy.

One of my favorite Paris Fashion Week street style looks was from blogger Chiara Ferragni – This multi colored lace Chanel dress with nude accessories is chic, flattering, and timeless. She looks stunning!
