Giveaway | OrganicGirl Tank

I’m super excited to be here today and to able to offer this fun little OrganicGirl tank top giveaway!

I’ve talked about OrganicGirl before – OrganicGirl | More Greens, Less Fruit – And it’s a company that I regularly support with my own money. Their tagline says it all – Good Clean Greens. It’s a California-based company that offers organic produce – First salads, then salad dressings, and finally juices.

Great products and a message that I can definitely get behind.

OrganicGirl | More Greens Less Fruit

Today we’re here to talk about OrganicGirl juice!

I’m a huge fan of cold pressed juices and have been thrilled with the sudden green juice craze over the last few years. I’ve tried different brands and even done a few juice cleanses as research. While I don’t think any of us should be on long-term juice-only diets, I do see the appeal of supplementing your leafy green intake with juices and I definitely appreciate the convenience of pressed juices when you’re traveling or having a crazy day.

One of the only concerns that I’ve had with some of the brands of green juice I’ve seen is that they can be high in sugar. Whether it’s spinach or kale, they tend to be paired with green apple or mango or pineapple. And the downside of those type of combinations is that without the fiber in the fruit that you lose when you juice it, that’s a pretty serious insulin spike from something that’s supposed to be “healthy.”

Enter OrganicGirl!

With the tagline “More greens, less fruit” I knew I was going to have to try this range of cold pressed juices. When they offered to send over a few to try out, I jumped at the chance.

What did I think?

If you’re used to fruit juice, you probably won’t enjoy their more-savory-than-sweet flavors, but as someone who tried to avoid sugar for the most part, I found them refreshing and flavorful. They have a touch of pulp-iness to them and really bold tastes.

  • Kale Rules – Veggies, greens & lime // 50 Calories + 7g Sugar
  • Spicy Tomato – Basically a Bloody Mary, minus the vodka // 70 Calories + 3g Sugar
  • Hint of Mint – Light & refreshing with a touch of green tea // 45 Calories + 7g Sugar
  • Beet Boost – Carrot, Kale, Beet, Parsley & Spinach // 45 Calories + 8g
  • Lemon-Aid – Spicy lemonade and the sweetest of the bunch // 60 Calories + 11g Sugar
  • Green Cider Smoothie – Greens, Greek Yogurt + Almonds {Note: I didn’t try this one due to the yogurt, but was told it was filling and savory, but not at all sweet}

Another thing I loved, other than the all-organic ingredient list, was that a serving size is one bottle. I hate, hate, hate when I’m 3/4 of the way through something only to realize that the manufacturer thought that their tiny bottle should be broken into five serving sizes. Sigh.

What’s YOUR favorite green juice? Have YOU tried OrganicGirl?
