I recently attended the fabulous Snow 5 Runway Show at the Metreon here in San Francisco. A chic affaire featuring up-and-coming local designers and supporting the non-profit ‘GO’ which empowers women to escape poverty.

I was blown away by the five head-to-toe white collections that were shown, it was such a beautiful experience sitting in the huge, window filled room with a large white runway down the center and rows upon rows of fashion lovers all dressed in the color de jour – White!
Neide Hall started off the evening’s festivities showing a line of fabulous swimsuits, fun cover-ups, and vacation-ready resortwear for Charmosa Swimwear.
Carmen Baldwin’s CarMenchie offerings included everything from sweet retro-inspired cocktail dresses to elegant evening wear, all with great styling and bold neon peach shadow for the models.
Cana Klebanoff‘s androgynous, avant-garde menswear pieces were minimal but eye-catching. I could definitely see mixing & matching some of these separates for Spring 2014.
Dramatic textures & bold fabrics ruled the day for Joseph Domingo with iridescent fringe, feathers, bubbling ruffles, lace, and sequins all making an appearance.
And one of my favorites this evening was the chic, timeless collection shown by Julie Schindler – From smart skirt suits to stylish outerwear to the perfect little white dress – I would have worn every piece that made an appearance on this runway!
So what does one wear when the dress code is “dress to impress” and it’s an all-white theme?
First – Have a heart attack when you realize that as much as you adore Winter White you own none because you’re too pale to wear white. Second – Suck it up and head out into the rainy February night in a short Summer shift dress.
The things I do for fashion! 🙂
