MCLV Style: Gold Details

Sometimes you put together a look only to realize after the fact that what you love most about it is actually the little details. Or in this case, the gold details. All of the chunky gold pieces paired with the statement necklace ended up being really eye-catching and fun.

Gold is certainly my trademark style for jewelry these days – I can’t seem to get enough. That includes vintage pieces from my favorite online vintage shop Sasha Maks Vintage to one-of-a-kind pieces designed by local designer Kamryn Dame.

What I love about the gold details in this look is how they compliment the fun print on the dress – I actually got asked multiple times if collar was part of the dress while I was photographing the Avant-Garde & Couture Runway Show for San Francisco Fashion Week.

What’s YOUR jewelry style? Big & bold or do you prefer more delicate pieces?

Statement Jewelry

A few weeks ago I was introduced to a lovely young lady at a fun fashion event. I was told she was a jewelry designer, we shook hands, and parted ways as the crowd pushed us in opposite directions around the room.

Two days later I was still  thinking about her. More specifically, I was still thinking about her bracelet. Luckily for me I was able to track her down and a coffee date quickly turned into an idea for a collaboration. And today I’m thrilled to share the product of our extremely fun photo shoot featuring her killer statement jewelry.

As I’m sure you’ve come to realize if you’re a regular MCLV reader, I’m quite a fan of statement jewelry. I love pieces that are bold and eye-catching, and I love pieces that are unique and help you to create a one-of-a-kind look.

Kamryn Dame offers all of these things in a variety of styles and metals which makes playing dress-up all the more fun.

Stay tuned for another outfit post featuring these fabulous baubles and for an interview with the amazing designer!
