Tiffany & Co: Valentine Fashion

The first two MCLV x Tiffany T Collection posts focused on daytime and workwear styling – How to wear these gorgeous, versatile pieces for your day-to-day life, from the weekend to the office.

Today let’s talk about evening wear – This is perfect whether you have a fabulous Valentine date to plan, girls night out, or just a fun evening out on the town to get dressed up for.

Layering delicate bracelets and stacking rings is the perfect way to set off a detailed dress like this lace peplum number. I love how this combination of gold, rose gold, silver, and diamonds looks together – It creates a look that’s simultaneously modern and timelessly elegant.

My daily jewelry style is definitely focused on layering so I was especially taken with these Tiffany T Wire Bracelets. They’re perfect for mixing & matching with other metals or with more dramatic pieces. It’s a great, and easy, way to create a look at is completely “you.”

What I immediately noticed about the new Tiffany T collection from Tiffany & Co. is how versatile the pieces are. From elegant earrings to timeless diamonds to multi-use chains, these pieces are all easy to wear and easy to style.

Last week I showed you how to wear Tiffany to the office – How a bold cuff or delicate stacked rings can spice up your favorite workwear basics.

The key to daytime styling is combining fun, delicate pieces to create something unique, but not so overwhelming that it distracts from your whole look.

Tiffany & Co: Office Style

If you’re following Moi Contre La Vie on Instagram you got a sneak peek of this fun new collaboration, but for the rest of you, I’m thrilled to share a new project with the one and only Tiffany & Co!

Curious about my background with Tiffany? You can read about my family Tiffany traditions here and here.

I was thrilled to stop by the Union Square Tiffany & Co last week to shoot the gorgeous new Tiffany T collection.

This new collection, created by design director Francesca Amfitheatrof, is the embodiment of all things Tiffany – Enduring style with a modern twist.

Something that I’ve noticed about older design houses is that they can get trapped in the past, recreating styles that exemplify the brand’s history, but without innovation. Tiffany & Co. has done a wonderful job over the years of staying true to the company’s rich history while still looking to the future, creating pieces that can be seamlessly integrated with modern styles.

The first look that we put together featuring these great pieces was a modern office style. My go-to for spicing up a boldly colored tunic and cropped blazer combo is eye-catching jewelry.

Here I’m wearing a fun mix of gold, silver, and rose gold, as well as combining delicate and more dramatic pieces.

Some of my favorites from this shoot were the beautiful, stackable Tiffany T Wire Rings and the gorgeous, goes-with-everything gold & white Tiffany T Cutout Cuff.

My latest obsession? The Tiffany T Chain Necklace – Not only can you fasten together chains of different metals to extend the length of the necklace, but you can also wear it as a wrap bracelet or belt! Talk about versatile investment piece!

Valentine’s Day: Tiffany & Co. Diamonds

So far I’ve shown off some of the beautiful colored stones that you can find at Tiffany & Co., including the striking pink diamonds and the fabulous Australian yellow diamonds.

Today’s post is for the classic diamond lovers out there!

Did you know that Tiffany & Co. is actually responsible for establishing the traditional solitare engagement ring? What you know as a classic diamond engagement ring is still called the “Tiffany Setting” today.

So not only does Tiffany & Co. have a rich heritage when it comes to diamonds, they’re also known in the industry for going a step beyond in order to ensure that you’re getting the best, most ethically sourced stones. I grew up listening to my father lecture educate me on the diamond industry so this is something that’s exceptionally important to me.

When I saw this Victoria band I completely fell in love. Tiffany’s Victoria collection is one of my favorites, it’s very distinct as most of the pieces have these stunning little diamond leaves that make them stand out. One of my very first jewelry crushes was actually this ring from the Victoria collection – I fell in love with in during college.

One day it will be mine!

Today I’m here to discuss one of my favorite looks for Valentine’s Day – Colored stones! To be specific – Yellow diamonds.

What I love about these rings is how versatile they are. The beauty of a perfect gemstone like these is that you can style them in an endless number of ways – Stack these beauties for a great modern look or single out your favorite for a more classic, or even a retro feel.

Tiffany & Co. has an exclusive contract with an Australian mine and that’s where all of their flawless yellow diamonds come from these days. Not only does this mean that they get to pick and choose the perfect stones for you, it also gives them a unique ability to adhere to their pledge of corporate responsibility.

The King of Diamonds, Mr. Tiffany himself, was named such in 1878 after acquiring a mammoth 287 carat stone that was eventually cut down to 128 carats.

Not only is this stone still refered to as The Tiffany Diamond, it’s also one of the largest yellow diamonds ever discovered!
