Spring Essentials

With 2014 swiftly coming to the halfway point I wanted to share some of the things I’m loving right now. From products I’m using daily to recipes I can’t stop making to my gym Must Haves.

Ellie Fitness Workout Gear Gym Clothes San Francisco Fitness Blogger MCLV

{Getting bikini ready means having some great go-to pieces for the gym that are functional and make you feel amazing. I’m currently living in my Ellie Ruffle Leggings & Lorna Jane Capris, and my Zella Tanks – Which I have in four colors – And pullovers.}

Spring Essentials Eco Friendly Beauty Tarte Cheek Stain

{These little beauties MAY say “Cheek Stain” but they’re much more versatile than that. When I’m prepping a clutch for a Spring evening out, this baby is a must, use it to freshen your cheeks, lips & eyes!}

Midi Skirt Maxi Dress Spring Fashion San Francisco Fashion Blogger Street Style Polka Dots Moi Contre La Vie MCLV

{I can’t stop wearing midi & maxi length skirts & dresses like this one. In San Francisco layers reign year-around and I’ve found that these are the perfect alternative to pants on days when you’re feeling a bit more Spring-like.}

Spring Essentials Kleen Kanteen San Francisco Fashion Food Fitness Blogger

{I’ve recently ditches most of the plastic in my life and one of the new additions is this killer Kleen Kanteen – I have one on my bedside table, one on my desk & one in my locker.}

Vegan Icea Cream Banana Soft Serve Dairy-Free Gluten-Free Raspberry San Francisco Food Blogger

{Peanut butter flavored Vegan Ice Cream – I’ve been making this DAILY. You can give it an extra healthy kick by adding protein powder and/or chia seeds. My go-to combo is powdered peanut butter, Sun Warrior chocolate protein powder & a chia seed shot plus one frozen banana & a sprinkling of cinnamon. Heaven!}

MCLV Mange: Vegan Ice Cream

My go-to dessert these days is quick, easy, and surprisingly healthy.

When I say “quick” I really mean that – In under 5 minutes you’re eating. Two ingredients plus a blender or food processor and you’re done. Doesn’t get much better than that in my opinion.

Basically, we’re talking about an instant dessert but without preservatives or added sweeteners, chemicals, or fats.

  • Frozen Banana
  • Flavoring – My favorites include coconut flakes, chocolate protein powder, frozen berries, powdered peanut butter, or even just a dash of cinnamon. Just add whatever you’re craving! In the version above I added frozen and fresh raspberries.

Directions: {For ONE serving}

  • Put a frozen banana in your food processor or blender
  • Blend
  • Add water as needed to achieve ice cream-like consistency
  • Add your desired flavoring

This Vegan Ice Cream dish is tailor-made for brunch or a quick get-together because it’s so easy. No muss, no fuss.

Stay tuned for the next MCLV Mange installment and check out the previous posts from this series to see what you’ve missed so far:
